Al-Imdaad Foundation

Al-Imdaad Foundation Counselling The Al- Imdaad Foundation has recently established a community careline focused on empowering the Ummah through community based programmes and person centered counseling. This centre has a strong sense of purpose directed at addressing numerous problems stemming from the many ills of society. Due largely to a breakdown of family life and the influence of negative peer pressure on our youth, the incidence of social problems in our communities is sadly on the increase. These problems are further compounded by social media networking sites like Facebook, Twitter etc which through their very interaction negatively effects sociability and family interaction. This breakdown of the family unit which is undoubtedly the best support structure, has led to infidelity, social promiscuity and youth falling prey to the vices of alcohol, drugs and general misconduct. Added to these issues, HIV/AIDS, abject poverty, unemployment, crime and trauma places a further burden on the community as a whole. The centre situated in Sherwood is a hub of activity where the varying and diverse needs of the community are addressed. These needs are fulfilled through community development initiatives and on an individual level through counseling. Trained by a registered counseling psychologist, our team is well equipped to handle cases that require marital and family counseling, trauma and grief counseling amongst others. A high regard is placed on confidentiality and all counseling is offered according to Islamic principles and values as purported by the Beloved Prophet Muhammed (PBUH). All consultations will be offered from the Al-Imdaad Foundations offices based at 421 Moses Kotane Road (Formerly 12 Abrey Road) in Sherwood. If you have no sympathy for human pain, the name of human you cannot retain. [Saadi]
