1. 11 March 2011: AIF's Australian and Indonesian offices monitor the situation closely as the effects of the disaster unfolds. Contact has been made with the relevant authorities. 2. 12 March 2011: AIF has made contact with community leaders in Tokyo as its continues its robust assessment of the unfolding tragedy. 3. 12 March 2011: No funds to be donated until AIF assessment is completed. Further announcements to be made. 4. 13 March 2011: AIF contacts in Japan have entered the devastated region and are reporting widespread damage.
