Natal Memorial Home

Al-Imdaad Foundation UK and Food for Thought volunteers continued their humanitarian mission with support for elderly and disabled individuals at the Natal Memorial Home. The teams distributed hygiene packs to residents of the home as well as offering support and encouragement. The Al-Imdaad Foundation also runs a regular Make Breakfast Possible feeding programme at the home.

Volunteers inaugurate New Borehole

Al-Imdaad Foundation UK and Food for Thought volunteers have inaugurated a borehole water project together with acting KwaZulu-Natal Premier, Mr Sihle Zikhalala at the Nomaphenduka Creche in KwaHlabisa, Umkhanyakude District. The borehole was sponsored by donors from the UK and will provide safe water for the creche and surrounding community.

Back-2-School and Hygiene pack distributions

Over the past two days, Al-Imdaad Foundation UK and Food for Thought volunteers have been on a South African relief mission in KwaZulu-Natal's uThukela District. The team has engaged in Back-2-School stationery and school bag distributions for needy learners at schools in Ladysmith and the rural Loskop area. Hygiene packs have also been handed over as part of the 'Keep a Girl-child in School" campaign.

UK Delegation kicks off activities in Ladysmith

The UK delegation kicked off their activities in the town of Ladysmith in KwaZulu-Natal's uThukela District where they engaged in Back-2-school stationery and school bag distributions to benefit needy learners at a local primary school. Hygiene packs were also distributed to learners. The team went on to distribute cooked meals to needy community members in the rural Roosboom area outside Ladysmith. Activities will continue over the next few days.
