Al-Imdaad Foundation’s medical rehabilitation projects in South Africa include the distribution of walking aids and wheelchairs to elderly and infirm individuals who might be otherwise unable to afford them.

In South Africa, our regular medical projects continue to benefit the local community including support for the medical costs of welfare patients, distribution of mobility aids such as walking sticks and wheelchairs, and medical outreach programmes. We also regularly partner for medical outreach programmes with the Islamic Medical Association (IMA) in rural areas of KwaZulu-Natal. Another imporatant initiative has been our support for Phila Mtwana Child Malnutrition Centres in Northern KwaZulu-Natal and the associated Kangaroo Mother Care programme for premature babies.
