FEED GAZA convoy- August 2017

15 Aug 2017

Between August 12th and August 16th 2017, Al-Imdaad Foundation teams in Jordan launched the most recent FEED GAZA convoy in three phases consisting of 100 tons each. The rice from the convoy has become a vital source of regular nutrition for Palestinian families in the besieged enclave of Gaza. The project is now into its third year and brought together the Al-Imdaad Foundation office in Jordan with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation (JHCO) and the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF) for its successful implementation. This year, the major portion of funding came from generous donors in the United Kingdom and representatives of the donors were present for the launch of the convoy from Jordan.

Feed Gaza Aid Convoy

31 Jul 2016

Last year, through the sterling efforts of the Al-Imdaad Foundation’s Jordanian team, an important humanitarian corridor was opened up between Jordan and the Gaza strip. This allowed the first convoy of humanitarian food aid to be launched into Gaza from Jordan. The project allowed us to send through 300 tons of food aid, enough to feed more than one quarter of Gaza’s residents. With the groundwork having been done and with a new strong partnership having been forged with the Jordanian Government’s official charitable wing, the Jordanian Hashemite Charitable Organisation, the humanitarian corridor can once again be put to use. This year we will once again be using the corridor to deliver 300 tons of food aid into Gaza where our partners on the ground will distribute the aid to the neediest families.
