Recent Atrocities in Aleppo

03 May 2016

On the 22nd of April, an ambulance responding to an earlier airstrike was itself hit killing both paramedic and patient. This was followed on April 27th by the destruction of the most advanced paediatric care centre in Aleppo where 50 people were killed including the last remaining paediatrician. On April 29th airstrikes destroyed two Primary Health Care centres in Marjeh Neighbourhood and in Eastern Aleppo while in western Aleppo, mortar strikes struck the Ibn Rushd Hospital and the Dabeet Maternity hospital. These anecdotes provide a painful illustration of how the violence continues to target civilian infrastructure.
