04 Feb 2016Al-Imdaad Foundation responded to the devastating hailstorm by despatching a team to distribute blankets to some 500 victims. Food hampers were also distributed to the family of the deceased victims. These items will help the victims who have had property and belongings damaged and spoiled as a result of the storm.
On Wednesday February 8th 2016 a devastating storm struck parts of the eastern cape causing injuries, damage to households and at least one death. The storm brought heavy rains and strong winds and wreaked havoc in Mount Frere and Mount Ayliff in the Alfred Nzo Municipality.
Many towns and villages in the area were affected with some houses completely brought to the ground by the destructive force of the elements. Badly affected villages included Rhode, Mjila, Ntsizwa, Mandileni, Sirhoqobeni and Lubaleko.
The Al-Imdaad Foundation was quick to respond through its provincial office in the eastern cape and distributed blankets to some 500 affected families.
