25 Mar 2013

Recognising the plight of people in the Balkans, Al-Imdaad Foundation partnered with Rahma Mercy of the UK in 2013 to embark on projects to uplift and enlighten the communities in Albania and Kosovo. Together Al-Imdaad and Rahma Mercy will undertake projects in areas such as medical & health provision, water & sanitation, secular and religious education, community re-development, orphan sponsorship, and provision for Masjid construction & renovation. Many orphans were affected in the Yugoslav wars and as a result some also suffer from psychological trauma. The orphan sponsorship programmes have brought much needed support these orphans. The Al-Imdaad Foundation has also signed an MOU with Rahma Mercy to formalise the partnership. This will ensure necessary support is delivered to thousands of people in the poor and needy communities of Kosovo and Albania.
