22 May 2012On the 21st of May 2012 the Al-Imdaad Foundation in partnership with the eThekwini Municipality and the Department of Corporate Governance & Traditional Affairs (COGTA) handed over fully furnished homes to elderly citizens of Inchanga, Kwa-Zulu Natal, whose homes were completely destroyed by gale force winds. The homes were officially handed over by the MEC for COGTA Ms Nomusa Dube, the Mayor of the eThekwini Municipality Cllr James Nxumalo, the President of the Al-Imdaad Foundation Moulana Shabir Ahmed Saloojee and the Shariah Advisor of the Al-Imdaad Foundation Moulana Ahmed Chohan. Warm hats, gloves, blankets, groceries and wheelchairs were also distributed to the poverty stricken community of Inchanga.
