On this special night, we make dua for the people of Shaam (Syria) and wherever human beings are suffering. This is a night of forgiveness and we need to forgive one another and move on to a brighter future.

The month of Sha'baan is a significant month in the Islamic Calendar because in this month lies a very auspicious night known as LAYLATUL- BARAA'AH (The Night of Emancipation; The night of Freedom from the fire). The word Sha'baan means branches of good deeds (Aamaal). As the night of Laylatul Baraah dawns upon us, let us reflect as to how our books of deed will close and open. It is important for us to allow the reality of the month of Shabaan and the night of Bara’ah to prepare us for the holy month of Ramadan. Our beloved Nabi Muhammad Salalahu Alaihi Wasalam also emphasized the importance of this month and its benefits. From a humanitarian perspective, we need to take cognizance of the various humanitarian problems that have been surfacing recently. On this special night, we make dua for the people of Shaam (Syria) and wherever human beings are suffering. This is a night of forgiveness and we need to forgive one another and move on to a brighter future. Nabi Kareem Salalahu Alaihi Wasallam is reported to have said: There are three acts which makes forgiveness Wajib (necessary) and warrants a persons forgiveness by ALLAH TA’ALA are: 1. To remove a person's hunger 2. To remove a person's pain and difficulties 3. To make a person happy The Al Imdaad Foundation is quite active in the above mentioned and we make dua to ALLAH TA’ALA that he continues to use the foundation to remove the hunger and difficulties of a person and thereby making them happy. The Al Imdaad Foundation is presently active on the borders of Syria amongst other areas of conflict, poverty, pain and desperation. This Ramadan, the Al Imdaad Foundation will endeavor to reach out to even more poor communities across the globe and we urge you that on this night of LAYLATUL- BARAA'AH, to humbly remember us and the thousands of poor and needy recipients who are in need out there.
